Sign them or raise them.
Then find out if you were right.

An esports management sim with a match engine that records every round. Build your roster from the transfer market and your own academy, set tactics map by map, and take your team through leagues, ladders and championships against other managers.

14 seasons in. Kaldheim has won the flagship event 7 times — that record is on the table.

A CPL Manager match in progress: both team panels, the round scoreboard and the map.
The match

Not a coin flip with a loading bar

Every round is simulated and recorded: who took the opening duel, who traded it back, who held the site alone. Tactics are set per map and per side, and afterwards you can read exactly where the round turned.

  • 30 rounds simulated
  • 198 kills recorded
  • 70 of them headshots
  • 37,061 damage dealt

Damage, KAST, survival, trade kills and open-duel records are kept for every player in every round — the same numbers you use to decide who keeps their place.

The plan

You draw the round. The engine plays it.

Every player gets a route, a facing and a job — where to walk, where to hold, what to do once the bomb is down. The simulation runs what you drew, round after round, and hands back the record of how it went.

The tactic editor on Train: numbered waypoints for five players, sight cones clipped by walls, grenade lines, and the per-player pathing list.
The pathing view: nine waypoints per player, each with a facing the engine clips against the map's walls, plus grenade lines and the plant point.
  • Per map, per side, per buy Separate plans for attack and defence, and for full buys, pistol rounds and ecos — the engine picks the right one when the round starts.
  • Waypoints, not autopilot Each player follows their own path and holds the angle you set. Whether that works is down to their aim, their nerve and who they run into.
  • It comes back as evidence Rounds won, plants landed, post-plants held — recorded per tactic, so you find out which of your plans actually works and rewrite the ones that do not.

Two ways to build a roster

Careers run from thirteen into the late thirties and peak somewhere in the mid-twenties, so every signing is a bet on where a player sits on that curve — and every prospect is a bet on whether you can get them there before someone outbids you for the finished article.

Raise them

Prospects arrive between thirteen and seventeen with their ceiling hidden. Scout them, interview them to reveal what they could become, then decide how many seasons you are willing to spend getting them there. This is a real tryout — the faint track behind each bar is the ceiling.

Or sign them

The transfer list runs on live auctions against other managers, and a finished academy prospect is worth something to somebody else. This is what a senior professional looks like once the ceiling is no longer a mystery.

Training

A whole career, one drag at a time

Twenty-three seasons: a thirteen-year-old you gambled on, a player worth building a team around, and eventually a veteran whose legs have gone. He grows until twenty-seven, and from twenty-eight the game starts taking it back — a little at first, then faster every season. The face ages with him.

The business

Somebody has to pay for all this.

Wages, transfers and training come out of a balance, and sponsors are where most of it comes from. Better sponsors want a team worth being seen with — so how visible you are is a stat of its own.

Seven rungs of being noticed

Winning, streaming, signing someone famous and simply being watched all earn media points. They move you up a seven-level rating, and every level opens better contracts than the one below it.

The silverware

Somebody wins these every season.

Three competitions run in parallel, and they reward completely different things — one good week, one consistent season, and one long climb. They sit in your cabinet permanently, with the season they were won on them.

  • The Championship

One a season, named for whoever is backing it that year, and the only trophy every team in the game is chasing at once.

  • Master League

The top of a seven-division pyramid. Forty teams are in Master; everyone else is trying to be promoted into it.

  • World Ladder

One table, every team, all season. No divisions to hide in — you are ranked against the whole game.

You start with a squad, an academy and an empty trophy cabinet. Everyone above you in the table started the same way.
